Leave Me Alone was released on February 13th 1989 from Michael's hit album Bad. It was the 8th single to be released from the album, though it was not released in the US.
In the UK it hit the number 1 spot in the NME magazine, but only number 2 in the singles chart. It became the 44th best selling single in 1989.
Leave Me Alone was re released in 2006 as part of Visionary, it hit number 15 in the UK chart in 2006.
Leave Me Alone was only added to the Bad album as a bonus track, and was never performed on any tours.
Leave Me Alone won a Grammy for best short form music video in 1990.
The song was also shown on Michael's film Moonwalker in 1988.
